PMR Automotive Becomes Region's First Certified Independent EV Repair Facility

Marion, IL - Aug 14, 2025 – PMR Automotive is proud to announce it is the first certified independent automotive repair shop in the region for electric vehicle (EV) repair. This certification positions PMR Automotive as a leader in the rapidly growing EV market, offering specialized, non-warranty repair and maintenance services that were previously unavailable to local EV owners outside of dealerships.
As the number of electric vehicles on the road continues to increase, so does the need for qualified technicians to service them. Unlike traditional gasoline-powered cars, EVs require specific knowledge and tools to ensure they are repaired safely and correctly. PMR Automotive's team has completed extensive, hands-on training to become proficient in diagnosing and repairing high-voltage battery systems, electric powertrains, and the unique electronic components found in today's EVs.
